Under the direction of the MIS Manager Systems Engineering, the incumbent works at an intermediate level with strong knowledge in one of three mission critical engineering disciplines while developing and/or maintaining an understanding of at least one additional discipline supported by systems engineering group. Assists the Application Development, Applications Services, and Operations organizations in developing, implementing and maintaining the technology infrastructure required to support the enterprise. Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The Telecom/IT Engineer designs, develops, implements, and maintains telecommunications and information technology systems to support the organization’s communication infrastructure and operational needs. This role involves working with various technologies, including networking, VoIP, fiber & copper data transmission, wireless communications, Security Intrusion Systems, Artificial Intelligence Systems, Cable Television, Broadcast Engineering, Broadband Systems, Public Safety and related software systems.
